Acron, Bolivia’s YPFB to sign deal in framework of JV next week
MOSCOW, Oct 4 (PRIME) -- Russian fertilizer producer Acron and Bolivia’s Yacimientos Petroliferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB) will sign a deal in the framework of a joint venture next week, Ambassador Hugo Villarroel Sensano told PRIME on Friday.
“Acron will go to Bolivia again next week in order to sign a gas sale deal for as long as 20 years,” the ambassador said.
Under the deal, Bolivia will ship gas to the facilities producing urea and ammonia in Brazil, which it will sell to Acron.
According to an earlier report, Acron’s stake in joint venture will amount to 51% and YPFB’s to 49%. Acron’s investment in Brazilian plant in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul will amount to about U.S. $2 billion and launch is scheduled for 2023.
